From the comprehensive ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) here is the most important layer of all – the inner layer. The silky light inner clothing layer efficiently removes sweat from your sky, spreads it over the surface of the material and lets it get absorbed by the next layer you are wearing. Apart from being perspiration wicking, the material is woven so that the moisture can evaporate easily through the material without getting "caught" in it.And to this undershirt, there is of course underpants in the same material.
